Tony and Laura Burgess

Christmas week is upon us and we are busy busy busy. We need a break from the hustle and bustle. Tell me why this season must hit you like a ton of bricks. All we can do is thank God for the real reason for this season.

This past week we have had some holiday reality checks. Life goes on and the concerns of our lives don't go away this time of year. In 2003 Tony's dad was diagnosed with cancer which is one of the reasons for our return to Chattanooga. This Christmas mom is not feeling her best, Tony's grandmother suffers from Alzheimers and our friend Deanna had to go to the hospital with some heart problems. A person who we have known for years named Pat went to be with the Lord and we paid our respects to her and her family at the funeral home. We need to pray for family and friends this time of year who suffer from their everyday problems that make the holiday cheer less enjoyable. Thank you God for keeping us in your arms everyday.

Well its the week before Christmas and there is much to be done. Last minute gifts to get, activities at church and with friends will keep the average person busy. We have completed half of our festivities for this Christmas season. Taking care of things at home and work have kept us busy too. But things will come to a conclusion very soon. Keeping this time of year in perspective and understanding the reason for the season is the birth of Jesus Christ. Thanks you God for your sons birth and life. His death means life for us all.

This is a video edited by Tony featuring our hamster Maisy. She is having her first hamster ball adventure around our house. She did quite well for her first outing. She is also joined by her daddy Matty for some bathtub fun.
